Mary Jone and her family is staying at an informal settlement within the local Catholic Church in Maiduguri, Northeast Nigeria.
With support from CRS, she is attending class at St. Hilary's Nursery, Primary and Secondary School in Maiduguri, Northeast Nigeria.
With private funds, CRS is supporting around 80 students who have been displaced by Boko Haram violence. CRS pays their fees for class, school books, uniforms and other supplies.
Northeast Nigeria is amongst the world’s most neglected humanitarian crisis: it is presently estimated that 7 million individuals are in dire need of humanitarian assistance and that 2.2 million have been forced to flee their homes due to Boko Haram's violence.
