CRS Rice Bowl photography shoot with a group of women from Ejido Hidalgo, a village near Matehuala, Mexico. They have created a cactus business with the help of Respuesta Alternative and a student group from University of Mexico, Vera Cruez. The students have made a sale to Walmart for Mother’s Day and the women are preparing the cacti for this sale.

These women also belong to a savings group, Las Rosas del Ejido. Maria Nieves Lugo Martinez, one of the four Martinez sisters who belong to this group of women. She lends her home to the group once or twice a month for the savings club. Meetings are always opened with a prayer.
