CRS Rice Bowl photography shoot with a group of women from Ejido Hidalgo, a village near Matehuala, Mexico. They have created a cactus business with the help of Respuesta Alternative and a student group from University of Mexico, Vera Cruez. The students have made a sale to Walmart for Mother’s Day and the women are preparing the cacti for this sale.

Maria de lu Luz Lego Martinez (in pick top) runs a household without a husband, who went to the US. Of her 10 children, four have died, two live in the United States, and the other four live nearby.

Allison, 3, and her brother, Alexis, 6, by their grandmother, Maria (in pick top). Basilia, Maria's sister, is in the door way. Flor, holds her niece, Maria, 2.
