Farmer was Hugo Tzoy Pú, 32 and his wife Marta Barrera Gonzalez, 27 live with their six children in the 'dry corridor' of Guatemala.

This season he lost his entire corn crop to climate change induced drought brought on by El Niño. The rain came too late and he was left with nothing.

CRS has been working with him for three years to make his soil healthier. He has adapted some crops and is growing fava beans, chiles, lemons, tomatoes, zucchinis and native tomatoes.

CRS has been helping farmers in the dry corridor with soil conservation techniques, crop adaptation and water catchment systems.
